Ali – Hong Kong

Ali is a full time mum, personal trainer and yoga teacher. Originally from Australia, but now living in Hong Kong, she is not only a keen cyclist but also loves to trail run, lift weights, rock climb and most other physical pursuits. She rides for fun and occasionally participates in races and challenges. In 2015 she did a sub 10 hour time in the 3 Peaks Challenge in Victoria, came 6^th in the Taiwan KOM race and has managed to do a few amazing tours, such as a 10 day French Alps Tour de France Tour and a quick ride around Taiwan. In 2016 she will do the World Championship XPD race over 8 days in New South Wales, Australia. In Hong Kong, Ali knows all the secret spots and great hills and looks forward to showing you the spectacular sites and views.

Daniel – Hong Kong

I got into road cycling when I moved to Hong Kong in 2011, still not sure how I ended up in the racing scene, I never intended to but love it. Since then I have participated in anything from local 20min crits to 5 stage multi day amateur races in Thailand and the Philippines. I’m proud of those achievements but the real joy I get from cycling is climbing the hills, the camaraderie with other cyclists, exploring and occasionally getting lost. You can be sure of getting 3 of those 4 on a ride with me, hopefully not the later and if we do I’ll be sure to distract you with some anecdote or boring fact about the surrounding area while I fire up the GPS! Seriously though Hong Kong is pretty small, we can’t get THAT lost…

Rupert – Hong Kong

I have lived in Hong Kong for the last 40 years and know it like the back of my hand, which helps greatly when leading rides as I can make use of "secret" traffic free sections and short-cuts. As a child I rode on BMX and then road bikes.  I am co-founder of Project852, which is a Hong Kong based all-inclusive Bike racing team which participates in all of the major races in Asia. Riding 15,000km per year is not unusual for me! I did my first triathlon in 2001 and continued until 2012 before moving into pure bike racing which took me to many Asian Bike races including qualification for the UCI Granfondo World Champs in Niseko in 2016. I work in website development, a major shift from my earlier career in wildlife rehabilitation.  I enjoy leading groups and happily ride with cyclists of all speeds.
