Phoenix – Road Bike Rental – Fountain Hills
66km -760m / 41mi - 2,500ft - Daily Rides
- Region Americas
- Country United States
- City Phoenix
The Fountain Hills route takes riders through the local Scottsdale neighborhoods on nicely paved bike lanes. We first pass over the Arizona water canal followed by tree-lined streets. We then head east towards our destination, Fountain Hills. As we navigate around the south foothills of the McDowell Mountains, the start of the climbing begins. At the top of the first peak, you can look back and see all of Phoenix and surrounding cities. After a short, curvy descent, we begin our first steep climb, with grades of 9-11% for brief stretches. Riders then make a quick descent to the local park, where the city’s namesake fountain is found. It is currently ranked top 5 tallest fountains in the world at 330 feet high. After a stop at the park, we wind through the neighborhoods of Fountain hills, climbing to our original viewpoint over the valley. We are again rewarded with a quick descent as we make our way back to the start of the ride.
